How to Start Dropshipping in Saudi Arabia from Pakistan (2026 COD Guide)

Quick answer: Yes, you can start dropshipping in Saudi Arabia from Pakistan. You work with a supplier that holds stock inside the Kingdom and offers cash on delivery. You find buyers through Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook ads, confirm each order in Arabic, and send it to the supplier, who processes it in 1–2 working days, delivers it in 1–3 working days and collects the cash. Your profit reaches your seller wallet when the parcel is delivered and is paid out weekly to your Pakistani bank account or mobile wallet.

Most Pakistani sellers who come to the Gulf start with Dubai. It’s familiar, there’s a large South Asian community, and Urdu gets you a long way. Saudi Arabia is often the second market, and for some sellers it becomes the better one. It is a much bigger country, order values can be higher, and a lot of everyday shopping happens on mobile.

It also asks more of you. This guide explains what changes when you sell to Saudi customers from Pakistan, using the same cash on delivery model we run for our sellers every day.

Why Saudi Arabia is worth a look

  • Size. Saudi Arabia is the most populous GCC country, with about 35 million people and big customer bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and many other cities.
  • Mobile-first audiences. Snapchat alone reported an ad reach of about 24.7 million in Saudi Arabia in early 2025, one of its largest audiences anywhere. TikTok and Instagram are also strong.
  • Cash on delivery is familiar. Customers are used to paying at the door, which lowers the barrier for a store they haven’t bought from before.

How Saudi Arabia is different from the UAE

Language for ads and callsEnglish, Arabic and Urdu/Hindi all workArabic reaches most buyers; English and Urdu reach a smaller expat audience

The biggest practical difference is language. If you can’t write an Arabic ad or hold a short Arabic phone call, your cancelled-order rate will usually be higher. Many sellers solve this by hiring an Arabic-speaking freelancer for creatives and confirmation calls.

How to start dropshipping in Saudi Arabia from Pakistan

  1. Create a supplier account with Saudi stock. Shipping from abroad is too slow for COD. Choose a supplier with stock inside Saudi Arabia. You can open a free Dropify Gulf account and add Saudi Arabia as a market.
  2. Choose products that suit Saudi homes. Practical kitchen and home items, personal care and modest jewellery do well. Avoid anything that copies a famous brand.
  3. Prepare Arabic content. Write the hook, price and “الدفع عند الاستلام” (cash on delivery) in Arabic. Keep videos short and show the product working.
  4. Price in round riyals. Prices like SAR 99 or SAR 149 are easy to read. Check your margin with the example below before you go live.
  5. Test ads with a small budget. Snapchat and TikTok are worth testing early in Saudi Arabia. Start with one product and a small daily budget.
  6. Confirm every order in Arabic. Call or message within an hour, and confirm the city, district and a landmark.
  7. Send confirmed orders to the supplier. On Dropify Gulf you enter the order in your dashboard. We process it in 1–2 working days, ship it with tracking (sent to you by WhatsApp or email) and collect the cash.
  8. Get paid in Pakistan. Profit reaches your seller wallet when the parcel is delivered. Payouts go to your Pakistani bank account or mobile wallet every week. Our payout guide explains it in detail.

In Saudi Arabia, a short Arabic confirmation call often decides whether a parcel is accepted.

Confirming orders in Arabic

You don’t need fluent Arabic to confirm an order, but you do need a clear, polite script. Here is a simple one your caller can use:

السلام عليكم، معك [الاسم] من متجر [اسم المتجر]. طلبت [اسم المنتج] بسعر [السعر] ريال، والدفع عند الاستلام. ممكن تأكد لي المدينة والحي وأقرب معلم، لو سمحت؟ التوصيل خلال ١–٣ أيام عمل، بتكون موجود للاستلام؟

Meaning: “Peace be upon you, this is [name] from [store]. You ordered for [price] riyals, cash on delivery. Could you please confirm the city, the district and the nearest landmark? Delivery takes 1–3 working days; will you be available to receive it?” When speaking to a woman, the caller should say “تأكدين” and “بتكونين” instead.

If the customer knows their Saudi National Address short code, write it down too, because it helps the courier find the right building. For more scripts and habits that cut refusals, read our guide on reducing COD returns in the UAE and KSA, and our Arabic guide for Gulf COD sellers.

A worked example in riyals

These numbers are an illustration. The delivery and return charges are our real Saudi charges; the selling price, product cost and ad cost are assumptions.

ItemAmount
Selling priceSAR 119
Product cost from supplierSAR 40
Delivery charge (delivered orders)SAR 30
Margin on each delivered orderSAR 49
Return charge (refused parcels)SAR 10
Assumed ad costSAR 15 per order placed

The selling price here is the final price the customer pays. Saudi VAT is 15%, so before you fix your prices, ask our support team how VAT is handled on your orders.

Out of 100 orders, say 25 are cancelled during confirmation, 15 are refused at the door and 60 are delivered. You earn 60 × 49 = SAR 2,940, pay 15 × 10 = SAR 150 in return charges and SAR 1,500 in ads. That leaves SAR 1,290.

Now look at the limit. At these delivery and refusal rates, the most you can spend in ads per order before you lose money is (2,940 − 150) ÷ 100 = about SAR 28. If the same product sold for SAR 99 instead, the margin would drop to SAR 29 and the profit to just SAR 90. That’s why we tell sellers to work out their numbers before they choose a price, not after.

Rules and paperwork to know about

We’re not lawyers, so treat this as a starting point and get advice for your own situation.

  • Saudi E-commerce Law. It covers online sellers who target Saudi consumers, and Article 2 extends it to sellers outside the Kingdom who offer goods to consumers in Saudi Arabia. If you run your own store or page for Saudi buyers, show clear contact details, your return policy and the full price before the order is placed. Ask an advisor whether you need to verify your store, for example on the Saudi Business Center’s Business Platform, which replaced the older Maroof service.
  • VAT. Saudi Arabia charges 15% VAT. Prices shown to customers should be the final price they pay.
  • Returns. Consumers can generally cancel within 7 days of receiving a product they haven’t used, with some exceptions, so write a simple, honest return policy and stick to it.
  • In Pakistan. Pakistan’s 2025 rules require online sellers to register with the FBR, so get your NTN before you start and ask a tax advisor how the rules apply to Gulf sales. Our post on whether dropshipping is halal covers the agent (wakalah) model many scholars accept.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do dropshipping in Saudi Arabia while living in Pakistan?

Yes. You handle products, ads and customer confirmation from Pakistan, while a supplier with stock in Saudi Arabia packs, delivers and collects the cash.

Do I need to speak Arabic to sell in Saudi Arabia?

It helps a lot. Most Saudi buyers respond better to Arabic ads and calls. If you don’t speak Arabic, hire someone to write your creatives and make confirmation calls.

How much does a COD order cost in Saudi Arabia with Dropify Gulf?

The delivery charge is SAR 30 per delivered order, and a refused parcel costs SAR 10. Your product cost and ad spend come on top of that.

Which is better for Pakistani sellers, the UAE or Saudi Arabia?

The UAE is usually easier to start because English and Urdu work there. Saudi Arabia is a bigger market where order values can be higher, as long as you can advertise and confirm orders in Arabic.

How do I receive my profit from Saudi orders in Pakistan?

Your profit is added to your Dropify Gulf seller wallet when an order is delivered and is paid out weekly to your Pakistani bank account or mobile wallet.
