Ramadan 2027 Dropshipping: What to Sell and When to Start (UAE, Saudi, Pakistan)

Quick answer: Ramadan 2027 is expected to start around 8 February 2027 in the UAE, with Eid al-Fitr on 9 or 10 March, depending on the moon sighting. For a COD dropshipper, that means testing products in December, building content in January and having winners ready before the last two weeks of Shaban. In the first weeks of Ramadan, kitchen and Iftar products sell. In the last ten days, Eid gifts take over: jewellery, watches, makeup sets and home décor.

Every year we see the same pattern. A seller notices Ramadan products trending on TikTok in the second week of the month, rushes to launch, and by the time the ads are approved and the first orders are confirmed, buyers have already moved on to Eid shopping.

The sellers who do well in Ramadan start much earlier. They test in the quiet weeks before, pick two or three products that already convert, and spend the month scaling them. This Ramadan dropshipping guide gives you that plan for 2027, with product ideas from our own UAE, Saudi and Pakistan catalogue. When is Ramadan 2027?

The exact dates depend on the moon sighting, so treat these as expected dates and adjust when the official announcement comes.

EventExpected dateNote
First day of Ramadan (UAE)Monday, 8 February 2027UAE Astronomy Centre estimate
Saudi Arabia and PakistanAround 8–9 February 2027Announced after local moon sighting
Last ten nights beginAround 27–28 February 2027Peak period for Eid gift orders
Eid al-Fitr (UAE)Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March 2027Depends on the Shawwal crescent

Count backwards from those dates. With processing of 1–2 working days and delivery of 1–3 working days, an order can take up to five working days, and couriers get busier as Eid approaches. An Eid gift ordered in the final week may arrive too late, so push gift products hardest from the start of the last ten nights, not in the final weekend.

Why Ramadan matters for COD sellers

  • People spend more. Fortis data reported by Khaleej Times put average order values in the UAE about 10% higher in Ramadan 2026 than before the month, and industry estimates put the UAE’s 2026 Ramadan retail economy at USD 16.4 billion.
  • Shopping moves to the evening. The same data shows the busiest shopping window is 9pm to 11pm, after Iftar, with a smaller burst between 12pm and 2pm.
  • Online payments jump in Saudi Arabia. Checkout.com reported a 22% rise in digital payment transactions in Saudi Arabia during Ramadan 2023, with transactions at food stores up 94% and apparel up 76%.
  • Gifting is built in. Eid means gifts for family, children and colleagues, which is why jewellery, watches and gift sets do so well in the last ten days.

Cash on delivery fits this season well. Many buyers order late at night from a page they have never visited before, and paying at the door removes the trust problem.

What to sell in Ramadan, moment by moment

Think about Ramadan in three moments: the Iftar table, the home, and Eid. Each one has a different buyer mood, so each one needs different products and different ads.

1. The Iftar table and the kitchen

In the first two weeks, families host Iftar almost every evening. Products that save time or keep food hot are easy to explain in a 15-second video.

2. The home before Ramadan and Eid

Many families refresh their homes before Ramadan and before Eid. Islamic décor and calm, scented spaces sell well here.

3. Eid gifts (the last ten days)

From around the 20th of Ramadan, buyers stop thinking about the kitchen and start thinking about outfits and gifts.

A week-by-week plan from now to Eid

  1. November and December: shortlist and test. Pick five or six products from the table above in the market you know best. Test each one with a small budget for a few days. You are not looking for Ramadan sales yet; you are looking for products whose ads get cheap clicks and whose orders get confirmed.
  2. Early January: keep two or three winners. Drop the rest. For each winner, record two or three new videos with a Ramadan angle: the Iftar table, a family evening, a gift being opened.
  3. Mid January: prepare your pages and scripts. Add a Ramadan line to your product pages, check your prices end in 9 (AED 99, SAR 149, PKR 2,499), and prepare an Arabic confirmation script if you sell in Saudi Arabia.
  4. Last two weeks of Shaban (late January): go live. Launch your kitchen and home products before Ramadan starts. Ads need a few days to settle, and you want them stable on day one.
  5. Days 1–20: scale what works. Raise budgets gradually on products that are confirming well, and cut anything with a high cancellation rate quickly.
  6. Last ten nights: switch to Eid. Move most of your budget to jewellery, watches and gift sets. Keep a small budget on your best kitchen product.
  7. Final week before Eid: slow down. Orders placed now may not arrive before Eid. Reduce spend, and tell customers honestly when they can expect delivery.

Ads, timing and order confirmation in Ramadan

Ramadan changes when people watch, shop and answer the phone.

  • Schedule around Iftar. Buyers are busiest just before and during Iftar. The 9pm–11pm window is when they scroll and shop, so make sure your budget is not used up by early evening.
  • Call at the right time. Don’t make confirmation calls in the hour before Iftar. Late morning and after Taraweeh are usually better. A polite WhatsApp message first helps.
  • Keep creatives respectful. Show families, homes and real use. Avoid exaggerated claims; TikTok’s ad policy, for example, does not allow ads that overstate results or show discounts that don’t match the landing page.
  • Track every order, not just payments. With COD there is no online payment, so set your pixel to count placed orders, and use UTM tags so you know which campaign each order came from.

A worked example in dirhams

This is an illustration for one UAE product, the food warming tray. The Dropify Gulf product price and delivery and return charges are our real UAE figures today. The selling price, order numbers and ad spend are assumptions.

ItemAmount
Your selling price (COD)AED 169
Dropify Gulf product priceAED 71
Delivery charge per delivered orderAED 20
Profit per delivered orderAED 78
Orders in the week: 40 (4 cancelled on the call, 8 refused at the door, 28 delivered)28 × AED 78 = AED 2,184
Return charge on 8 refused parcels8 × AED 5 = AED 40
Ad spend for the weekAED 1,000
Profit for the weekAED 1,144

Two things move this number most: how many orders you confirm and how many parcels are accepted at the door. In Ramadan, when buyers are busy, a fast and polite confirmation call is worth more than a bigger ad budget.

Frequently asked questions

When does Ramadan 2027 start?

The UAE Astronomy Centre expects Ramadan 2027 to begin on 8 February 2027, with Eid al-Fitr on 9 or 10 March. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan announce dates after the local moon sighting.

When should I start preparing Ramadan products?

Start testing in November or December, keep your winners in January and launch before Ramadan begins. Ads need a few days to settle, so launching in the middle of the month wastes the best weeks.

What sells best in Ramadan for COD dropshipping?

Kitchen and Iftar products such as food warmers, juicers and kettles sell in the first half of the month. Islamic home décor sells before and during Ramadan. Jewellery, watches and gift sets sell in the last ten days before Eid.

Can I sell Ramadan products in the UAE and Saudi Arabia from Pakistan?

Yes. You run ads and confirm orders from Pakistan, while Dropify Gulf packs, delivers and collects cash in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Your profit is paid out weekly to your Pakistani bank account or mobile wallet.

What is the last safe day to take Eid orders?

With 1–2 working days of processing and 1–3 working days of delivery, aim to stop pushing Eid gifts about a week (five working days) before Eid, and tell late buyers honestly when to expect their parcel.
