Dropshipping in the UAE with cash on delivery
Sell to customers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and every other emirate without buying stock. Dropify Gulf keeps the products in the UAE, packs every order, delivers it with cash on delivery and pays your profit weekly. You choose the products, find the customers and confirm the orders.
In short: Dropshipping in the UAE means selling products that a local supplier stores and ships for you. Many buyers in the Emirates prefer to pay at the door, so the supplier also collects cash on delivery and passes your profit back to you. With Dropify Gulf there is no stock to buy, the Starter plan is free, and you can sell from inside the UAE or from abroad, including from Pakistan.

How to start dropshipping in the UAE
Whichever supplier you use, the steps are the same. Get these right and the rest becomes much easier.
- Sort out the legal side. If you live in the UAE, choose a licence that covers selling goods online. If you sell from abroad, follow your own country’s rules. More on this below.
- Choose where you’ll sell. Most COD sellers use Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or their own Shopify store. Marketplaces such as Amazon.ae and noon have their own seller rules, including rules on dropshipping, so read them before you list anything there.
- Pick a supplier with stock in the UAE. For cash on delivery you need fast local delivery and someone to collect the cash. Our guide to the best dropshipping suppliers in the UAE compares the options.
- Test a few products. Start with two or three items that are easy to show in a short video and work out your margin before you spend on ads.
- Confirm every order. A short call or WhatsApp message to check the address and amount is one of the most effective ways to cut refused parcels.
- Track delivered orders, not placed orders. On COD, you are paid for deliveries. Keep a daily sheet and stop products that don’t deliver well.
How it works with Dropify Gulf

- You send confirmed orders through your seller dashboard.
- We pack and deliver. Orders are processed in 1–2 working days and delivered in 1–3 working days across all seven emirates, with tracking sent by WhatsApp or email.

Is dropshipping profitable in the UAE? A worked example
It can be, if you price for real delivery rates. Here is an example with our real UAE fees and assumed prices and ad costs:
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Selling price | AED 99 |
| Product cost (assumed) | AED 35 |
| Delivery charge | AED 20 |
| Margin per delivered order | AED 44 |
| Ad cost (assumed) | AED 18 per order placed |
Out of 100 orders, say 20 are cancelled on the confirmation call, 20 are refused at the door and 60 are delivered. You earn 60 × 44 = AED 2,640, pay 20 × 5 = AED 100 for refused parcels and AED 1,800 for ads. That leaves AED 740.
The number to watch is your ad cost per order. At these rates, anything above about AED 25 per order wipes out the profit: (2,640 − 100) ÷ 100 = AED 25.40. Better confirmation, which turns refusals into deliveries, raises that ceiling.

What sells in the UAE
Our UAE catalogue focuses on products that are easy to show in a short video and easy to deliver. Browse by category:
- Electronics & appliances
- Home & kitchen
- Mobile & wearables
- Health & beauty
- Car accessories
- Toys & kids
- Fashion
What tends to work: practical gadgets that solve a small daily problem, home and kitchen items, car accessories for commuters, and gifts around Ramadan, Eid, White Friday and the Dubai Shopping Festival. Avoid copies of famous brands; they get ad accounts blocked and are not legal to sell. For our current picks, see winning COD products.
Local stock vs shipping from China
| Local UAE supplier | Shipping from China | |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery time | 1–3 working days | Usually one to several weeks |
| Cash on delivery | Yes, collected for you | Not usually offered |
| Refused parcels | Returned locally for AED 5 | Usually written off; return shipping rarely makes sense |
| Cancellation risk | Lower | Higher, because customers wait longer |
For a COD business, speed matters more than a slightly lower product price. The longer a customer waits, the more likely they are to refuse the parcel.
Licence, VAT and consumer rules
- If you live in the UAE: selling products online usually needs an e-commerce or trading activity on a mainland licence (for example Dubai’s e-Trader licence, where you are eligible) or a free zone company. Freelance permits normally cover services, not the sale of goods.
- If you sell from abroad: your own country’s business and tax rules apply to you, and UAE consumer rules still matter. Show clear prices, delivery charges and your return terms, and never sell restricted or counterfeit goods.
- VAT: UAE VAT registration is mandatory for businesses with taxable sales above AED 375,000 a year.
We cover the options in more detail in dropshipping in the UAE without a trade licence. This is general information, not legal or tax advice.
Your first week
- Day 1: Create your free account and shortlist three UAE products.
- Day 2: Work out your margin per delivered order: selling price, minus product cost, minus AED 20 delivery. Then estimate your ad cost per order and AED 5 for each refusal, as in the example above.
- Day 3: Film a short video for each product and set up a simple order form or WhatsApp flow.
- Days 4–7: Run small ad tests, confirm every order within an hour and track delivered orders, not just placed ones.

Is dropshipping profitable in the UAE?
It can be. With a AED 99 product, AED 35 product cost and AED 20 delivery, the margin is AED 44 per delivered order. Whether you make money depends mostly on your ad cost per order and how many orders are actually delivered.
How much does it cost to start dropshipping in the UAE?
The Dropify Gulf Starter plan is free and you don’t buy stock. Your main cost is advertising. Each delivered order has an AED 20 delivery charge, and a refused parcel costs AED 5.
How long does delivery take in the UAE?
Orders are processed in 1–2 working days and delivered in 1–3 working days to all seven emirates, with tracking sent by WhatsApp or email.
Can I dropship in Dubai from Pakistan?
Yes. Many of our sellers live in Pakistan. They run ads and confirm orders from Pakistan, while Dropify Gulf stores, delivers and collects the cash in the UAE. Profit is paid weekly to a Pakistani bank account or mobile wallet.
Can I dropship on Amazon.ae or noon?
Marketplaces have their own seller and dropshipping rules, so read them carefully before listing. Most COD sellers working with Dropify Gulf sell through social media, WhatsApp or their own Shopify store.
How do I get paid?
When an order is delivered, your profit is added to your seller wallet. Payouts are made weekly.
